Mike Rice is a Wisconsin author and historian dedicated to preserving the stories of small‑town America. A Business graduate and former Village Board Trustee, Mike has written for national Amateur Radio magazines and spent more than twenty years as a board member and webmaster for the Eagle Historical Society, where he also edits the quarterly newsletter.
Mike has written several books about his hometown of Eagle, Wisconsin, including both nonfiction works and fictional stories inspired by real historical people and events. He has also authored three fiction books for kids and young adults, capturing the spirit of growing up in Ogema, Wisconsin in the 1960s. His work continues.
He manages the Facebook pages “Keep Ogema History Alive” and “Pratt Junction History & Heritage,” sharing the railroad, logging, and Northwoods history of Price and Oneida Counties. Through his books, articles, and community projects, Mike brings forgotten places and people back into the spotlight with warmth, clarity, and historical insight.
